Despite the fact that 50 % of marriages for men and women aged under 45 may end in divorce the western cultures still highly believe in the sanctity of marriage. The majority of the female population dreams of the day when she will walk down the aisle to meet and to embrace their destined partner in life. Avril Lavigne, the Canadian singer, is one of these ladies who decided to tie the knot.

So, the news is that Avril Levigne married Deryck Jayson Whibley aka Bizzy D. Whibley is the lead singer of the Canadian pop punk band called ‘SUM 41’. Deryck Whibley was born in Scarborough, Ontario on March 21, 1980. His influences were The Beatles, Elvis Costello and the southern California punk bands. Whibley is also the writer of all the Sum 41’s lyrics as well as all of their guitar riffs. Whibley fell in love with Avril Lavigne in the summer of 2004 and left his former girlfriend Paris Hilton. The lovebirds got engaged in Venice in June next year and finally got married in front of the 110 guests in a traditional ceremony on July 15th 2006. The outdoor ceremony was held at the private estate in Montecito, Santa Barbara County, CA, about 90 miles from LA. Deryck Whibley and Avril Lavigne, dressed in Vera Wang dress, exchanged their vows under the flower-covered awning.
